Lagardère Studios Distribution is thrilled to announce the launch of the series PHILHARMONIA at the Biarritz Rendez-Vous 9-13 September, an international market organized every year by TV France International.
Approximately 300 international buyers will be treated to an exclusive viewing of the first two episodes of the series at the video library. (Screenopsis)
On Tuesday 11 September a themed dinner will be held in the company of producer Rose Brandford Griffith and series creator Marine Gacem. The musical evening will kick off with a string concert playing excerpts from the series’ original soundtrack.
Philharmonia follows the journey to hell and back into the light of an exceptionally gifted conductor with music in her veins and a diabolical reputation. Hired against the advice of the directors and musicians, Hélène Barizet has one season to prove her worth and save the orchestra. The maestra turns to Selena Rivière, a young violin prodigy, to help her¾but what insight can Hélène hand down when all she wants is to break with the past?
The concert and rehearsal scenes were filmed in the Pierre Boulez auditorium at the Philharmonie de Paris with the Orchestre National d’Ile de France (ONDIF).
